September 5 and 6

We have free wi fi at our hotel tonight so I am able to post some things.  We are in a beautiful hotel in Amsterdam.  Too bad we are only here one night.  Yesterday we finished up in London.  We took a bus tour of several areas of London in the morning and ended at Buckingham Palace where we saw the changing of the horse guards.  Then we were on our own for the afternoon, doing some more exploring.  One place we went was the Albert and Victoria Museum - absolutely fabulous......and free.  Being a former elementary teacher and fan of Paddington Bear, I wanted to go to Paddington Station.  So we hopped on the tube and went there.  We actually found a nice pub for a late lunch.  After a few more stops we headed back to the hotel to get organized.  We had an early start this morning....wake up call at 4:15!!!!  We had to go to the Eurostar station for our train to Europe.  It took us under the English Channel and we were in France in one and a half hours.  We will visit France later, so we didn't stay there.  We continued on the train to Brussels, Belgium.  We took a quick tour of Brussels on a motor coach and then continued to Amsterdam, Netherlands.  After checking into our hotel, we walked around the city  (some interesting places here) and then had a wonderful dinner cruise along the canals.  Amsterdam is canals and bicycles.  Yikes, they are everywhere.   We are only in Amsterdam one night.  Tomorrow we leave for Germany.  I don't know when I will have wi fi again, so until next time.
